Graduate of the Crimean Art College (1976-1979) and the Leningrad Theatre, Music and Film Institute (Class of Gennady Sotnikov, 1983-1988), he was the Head of Design at the Krasnoyarsk Musical Comedy, Novgorod Drama, and the Baltic Fleet Theatre. His set design portfolio consists of more than 70 productions and includes collaborations with the most prominent theatres in Moscow and St. Petersburg as well as with playhouses all over Russia. Among his major highlights are The Gypsy King at the Krasnoyarsk Musical Comedy; The Demons and Pannochka at the Novgorod Playhouse; Romeo and Juliet at the Bolshoi Drama in St. Petersburg; Henry IV at the Baltic House; The Twelve Chairs at The Baltic House; Lower Depths and Ivanov at the Nebolshoi Playhouse, dir. Lev Erenburg; The Great Waltz by Johann Strauss, Jr. at the Buryat Opera; Boris Godunov at the Pushkin Center; and Vassa at the Chekhov Moscow Art, dir. Lev Erenburg. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1990, he is also teaching set design at the St. Petersburg Theatre Academy since 1991.
