Agne Kuzmickaite is a fashion and theatre costume designer. She earned her BA Honours degree from Vilnius Academy of Art in 2005. She has received her MA Honours degree in 2007 from the same institution. Her degree show “Shopoholic” (Supv. Prof. J. Talaikyte) was recognised as conceptually outstanding. In 2006 she went on Erasmus visit to Utrecht School of the Arts and in 2017 she defended a Phd degree researching everyday life as a source of inspiration in fashion design.
Kuzmickaite's work has been awarded with several international prizes including Best Upcoming Designer (Berlin, 2008) from Createurope: The Fashion Academy Award, judged by the international panel of fashion designers, for her collection “Shopoholic”.
Since 2006 she regularly presents her collections in official fashion weeks in Lithuania and abroad including Mercedes Benz Kiev Fashion Days, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin, Riga Fashion Week, Capsule in Paris, Pitti Super in Milan and others. Her work has been featured in international media such as “Vogue”, «L’Officiel,» “Marie Claire“, „Numero Berlin” and others. Her work was recently worn by famous british singer Rita Ora.
Agne Kuzmickaite also designs theatre costumes. She has worked on around 20 plays for theatres such as Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, Oskaras Korsunovas Theatre, State Small Theatre of Vilnius, Lithuanian Russian Drama Theatre, The National Theatre in Oslo, Teatro Regio in Turin and others. She has worked with prominent theatre directors such as O. Korsunovas, J. Vaitkus, J. C. Berruti and others. She was nominated for Golden Cross of the Stage award in 2012 for her work on the costumes of “He Who Gets Slapped” play by J. Vaitkus.
Kuzmickaite works with Lithuanian and international companies on new projects including collaborations with international companies such as Magnum, Dormeo, Coca Cola, Electrolux.
